The Great Race 2019 Route Stays On The West Coast

The route of the 2019 Great Race has been announced.  Next year the route will start in Riverside, California and end in Tacoma, Washington.  An initial map of the route is shown below.

In the map above, the communities highlighted in red are the overnight stops, while the communities highlighted in blue are the lunch stops.

It is also interesting to note on the poster that the eligible car range in 2019 has been increased from 1972 to 1974.

It is interesting that the 2019 Great Race will end at the same location in Tacoma, Washington, America’s Car Museum, as the recently completed 2018 Trans America Challenge put on by the Endurance Rally Association.

Question: Is there a Company that will rent a car for the Great Race on the WEst Coast ?

    • Hi Jan,
I do not know of any company who rents a car for the Great Race. Haggerty are starting up a DriveShare program that might be of interest. However a bigger problem is that the west coast Great Race (2019) is fully subscribed and as such I doubt that you could get in regardless if you can find a car. Next year (2020) there will be a different route for the Great Race.
