Canadian automotive writer and friend of mine, Brian Harper, recently attended the Goodwood Festival Of Speed. This is one of the premier annual automotive events in the world. The Goodwood Festival Of Speed is probably on most car enthusiasts’ bucket list.
Brian was reading my recent post about the 1963 Ford Galaxie 406 and thought he would pass along the photo below that he took at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed last week. The man leaning against the Galaxie NASCAR stock car that he was also going to drive up the hill is Lee Holman.
Lee Holman With A 1963 Ford Galaxie Racer
Lee Holman is the Holman of the famous American race shop Holman & Moody. Holman & Moody were the place for Ford speed on the track – any track. Holman & Moody engines were the top shelf of Ford power. Holman & Moody were also involved in getting the Ford Falcons prepared for their runs in the Monte Carlo Rally in the early 1960s.
It’s good to see Lee Holman is still having fun with fast cars.
