I was looking at some photos that I took during the recent 2014 Baden Classic rally that I competed with along with Harald von Langsdorff and another car driven by John Geist with Simone Rank. I thought that I would share some of those photos and I expect to post other photos over time.
The black 1958 Mercedes-Benz 220S Coupe shown below is owned by Harald von Langsdorff, but for this rally it was crewed by John Geist and Simone Rank.

The 1991 Lancia Delta Integrale shown below was entered by a past winner of the Classic division of this rally. This picture was taken just before being scrutineered at a local sport club the day before the rally. The presentation of this car was excellent!

The 1959 MGA shown below was driven by Bernard Hornung to victory in the class that Harald and I competed in. The picture below shows Bernard on the left talking with John Geist at scrutineering.
The Volvo shown below was entered by Manfred and Petra Ehlich in the Classic division.

The Volvo PV 544 shown below is a car that was entered in the same class as Harald and I in the Mercedes-Benz. I learned that the red numbered license plate is a special historic collector car license plate which can be transferred from car to car as long as the cars are owned by the same person. Typical historic car license plates in Germany have a number with “H” on the right side, as shown on the white Volvo above.

The scene below was at our lunch break on the first day of the rally. There was a nice outdoor cafe down to the right of the building shown in the background where we got something to eat and drink. The weather was quite hot at this time and Harald & I both put on sun block.

In the lunch break photo above, Harald’s white 1958 Mercedes-Benz 220S Cabriolet is shown on the left. All of the cars in this rally were interesting to look at.
