Adam Brodeur & Myself Going To Rallye Des Neiges

On February 9, 2013 Adam Brodeur and I are going up to Bromont, Quebec to compete in the 2013 Rallye des Neiges.  This is an evening rally put on by the Sport Motor Car Club (SMCC) of Montreal through the hills in the ski area around Bromont.  I have competed in the Rallye des Neiges twice before, including last year when I also was Adam’s navigator in this rally.

We will be competing in Adam’s Saabaru which is a Subaru WRX on which Adam has fitted a Saab front end.

By the way, if you are concerned that you do not speak French, don’t worry.  Everything is explained and written in both French and English, so there are no problems.  See you there!

Hmmmm didn’t SAAB actually put SAAB front ends on Subarus for a while?

    • You are right Greg. SAAB had a wagon version which I think was called the SAAB 9-2, (I could be wrong) which was SAAB bodywork on a Subaru Impreza wagon. I think that the link between SAAB and Subaru was that General Motors owned SAAB and also owned a small piece of Subaru or had some kind of agreement with Subaru. I recall hearing Adam say that putting the SAAB front end on his Subaru was not particularly difficult. When he bought the car, it needed front end body work anyway, so he simply put the SAAB sheetmetal on at that time. It was not a particular effort to change a perfectly good Subaru into a SAAB.
