Great Photos From an Early 1950s Motorcycle Trip To Europe

Yesterday Sam Burg, a great car guy from California, sent me a fabulous link to some travel photos from a motorcycle trip taken by some English riders from England to Europe in the early 1950s.  The photos show some fine English motorcycles and some lovely European vistas and scene from those times.  The following photo is a sample from the link.

As I went through the photos, I felt like running out to my garage and jumping on my Triumph Bonneville and heading for the mountains.

One Response to Great Photos From an Early 1950s Motorcycle Trip To Europe

Great tour! And it appear not too many mechanical problems.
While I was borne a few years after these gentlemen took the trip, parts along the Rhine, Blackforest and into the Alps shows scenery I am very familiar with (I think I actually remember the boarder crossing station near Kehl) I also spotted two cars I own: a Citroen Traction Avant and a Mercedes 220. Thanks for sharing.
