Porsche Cayenne Navigation Set-up For Targa Newfoundland

While at Targa Newfoundland this year, some of the competitors and spectators were interested in the navigation station that we had set up for the event in the 2008 Porsche Cayenne.

To set the car up for navigating, Rick removed the glove box and installed a temporary replacement piece that was built around a Timewise 798A rally computer.  This is shown in the photo below:

The set-up that we used for Targa Newfoundland included a talking count-down clock, a simple calculator, pencil sharpener, a couple of pencils, the Timewise 798A rally computer, and a ham radio for communication with our service crew.

After Targa Newfoundland ends and Rick returns home, the temporary pieces will be removed and the glove box returned to its proper place.  At that time Rick will return the Porsche Cayenne to his wife.
